Yesterday I took a walk in the Mong Kok district – I think this is (officially) one of the densest populated areas in the world. And especially on a weekend afternoon, it seems to explode with people out shopping, eating, and just generally milling around the myriad of stores and markets. It also happens to be a mecca for camera shoppers looking for a bargain!

One of the joys of a having a mirrorless camera, and in particular the Fujifilm X-Pro1, is the ability to use third-party “legacy” lenses. All you need is the appropriate adapter, which are easily available and very inexpensive.  Old lenses are quite cheap on the used market (but prices seem to be trending up as more people discover the joys of these lenses) – and they are built to last! Each also have their distinctive look and feel. Their tactile feedback really make photography a joy – and after a while you won’t even miss the autofocus.
