Killarney Harbour
On the last day of our camping weekend, we stopped at the small municipality of Killarney which is about 10 km west of the park entrance. This sleepy town has a history as a fur trading post, fishing village, logging centre, and now a tourist area serving visitors arriving by water and land alike.
Night over George Lake
Free of light pollution, the dark skies over the George Lake campsite offers great views of the stars, especially on a clear, moonless night. Set up with a tripod, you can capture some nice long exposure shots of the Milky Way, as well as star trails. On the second night, it started to cloud over (and heavy rain followed later) but that still allowed for some interesting night photos. All of these were taken in almost complete darkness.
